BSOD 0x0000008E

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 3.214 GHz / 3326 MB
Today I randomly started getting a BSOD with the stop error 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, the rest change the error code in the event viewer is 1000008E drivers are up to date BIOS is up to date. I don't know what else to do at this point.

Google for the error code. There are lots of hits. Many possible causes including a rootkit.
