boot screen got small

Specs: Windows XP
I just installed a new DVI cable from my xfx
geforce 9500gt graphics card to my LG
W2243T- AND out of a
sudden the boot screen was reduced in
size.which was fine untill i connected the new
cable. just don't know what is wrong can any
one help me.......

You have to switch your graphics display to 1080p. It is probably on 720i. Right-Click desktop -> Properties -> Settings Tab -> Change the Resolution to 1920 x 1080. You will also want to change the Sync Freq (Under Advanced) to 60 Hz because the 75 Hz only applies to standard def.

THANKS for your help,,
BUT my desktop looks fine and is in its native resolution and
refresh rate i;e 1900x1080 & 60Hz respictively the problem is
that only the boot screen is reduced in size. How do i solve it?

Oh your talking about the POST screen. There is no way with the computer. You could set you TV to automatically zoom or stretch the picture. I can't tell you how to do that because it varies from TV to TV.

The POST screen runs at 320x200 and when your TV is in 1080p mode it appears as a small picture.
But why do you care about the POST screen unless you need to get in the BIOS?

thank you for your tip to understand my problem
i tried it allready ,i tried autoset func. in my monitor
it says =Digital signal - autoset not available
i,m really new to computers and just know only a few things
about,I,m talking about the screen which shows up saying
ASUS P5qplam intel board,,press del. to enter setup = this
montioned screen is reduced in size ,but was showing fullscreen
when i was using a analog cable.

but would it correct the problem if formatted the harddisk and
reinstall windows XP.
As it gets really annoying to get a small boot screen when you start
the computer.

THANKS for your replies guys, honestly speaking I didn't expect
any answers but you guys replied and I 'm very thankful for that.
It seems i have to revert back to my analog VGA cable. as its
fine when i'm using analog cables(fullscreen bios size),as i dont
see any other ideas
