blue screen saying check disk then it shuts down

Specs: Windows xp
Will a bad PS make your computer start losing memory? My computer shuts down saying check disk and shutting down to stop further damage . Sometimes it will cut on and sometimes it wont. Now when it do come on it will say ltdlr is missing.

If possible, please post the error code that appears at the bottom of the blue screen.

A bad PSU might cause such problems, but not necessarily. What is worth checking is testing the memory. Download MemTest86+ .iso from here, burn it to a CD and boot from the CD.

Post the results.

Bad ram may be the issue but the error messages refer to hard drive corruption. In addition to the Memtest diagnostics you should also download a bootable ISO of a hard drive diagnostic tool from the drive manufacturer. I doubt the powersupply is the issue here.
