Blue screen on startup

Specs: Windows Vista
Hi well suddenly every time ii start my pc and windows xp finishes loading a blue screen appears for a second and then the pc restarts. The screen mentions checking inadequate disk space could this be the problem, i think i may have had less than 500mb.

Yep, that's a big problem. Do you ever dump temp internet files, temp folder contents, etc? See if you can boot into safe mode & start dumping files & uninstalling unnecessary programs.

Does it start when you try to get into Windows Safe Mode ???

I have dumped temporary files but not recently and when i try starting in safe mode it just freezes for a few seconds and then restarts. I connected my hard drive to another computer as a slave, it has over 1 gb of free space, i deleted some other files as well but it still doesn't work by itself.
