I have recently replaced the Ram for this machine due to "No Display". After this installed new windows.
During work an error shows https://imgur.com/m0z0iru and haltsAfter starting again this machine shows this error. https://imgur.com/ymIYOYQ
What to do? Kindly help.
The RAM is bad. It shows it in your screenshot. 52 errors in test #6. If you test the sticks individually, you'll find out which one is bad, but there's no way of fixing it. The RAM has to be replaced.
System specs & memory info would be helpful, but it appears you installed bad RAM. You should have tested it with memtest86 or memtest86+ before installing Windows. Create a bootable memtest disc or USB flash drive, boot off it & let it run for at least one complete series of tests. If any errors are found, the RAM should be replaced. If you have more than one memory stick, try testing them individually. Also, since XP is a 32-bit OS, there's no point installing more than 4GB. Some recommend 3GB as the max.
I will get back to you.
It is IBM Thinkpad T42 machine. Specs are https://imgur.com/4viGpUz
It has been 14 hours and it was still testing memory, then I decided to shut it down, because it changes test # randomly, sometimes it shows test #8, after some time it shows test #3.

By asking my vendor, there are two Rams of 512 MB. I have not checked personally. I have not tested individually. The above screenshot is the one and only test. Kindly help.
