blaster worm?

Specs: Windows 7
on my sisters computer everytime we try to open a program, it closes almost immediately, and a message pops up saying its been infected with w32.blaster.worm. i tryed putting the symnatec fix for it on a flash drive and using it, but it says she isnt the system administrator.
any help?

For getting into administrator, you have to boot in Safe Mode. When the BIOS screen appears, press F8 and choose Safe Mode. Then log in to the administrator account (you have to know the password) and run the fix.

just right click on the fix and choose 'run as administrator. That can be done in normal mode

Also there are some malware scams that may be using that to link you to some web page to pay for a faux fix.

hey guys, just save the grief, click on the yellow triangle and class it as incorrect forum, toggle the general switch and click on incorrect forum...works great!
