Is this a genuine install CD, or a copy/download?
Is the CD drive first in boot order?
Did you start by choosing full format when you started install?
Is your hard drive IDE or SATA? (SATA needs drivers inserted during install)
***I JUST LOOKED BACK!!*** yes you have a SATA hard drive. You need to insert SATA drivers via floppy drive during install at the correct point, or slipstream then into a custom install CD (google slipstream SATA drivers into XP install CD). Unless your motherboard has the option that will allow your SATA drive to appear/act as a IDE drive (I forget what the option is called.... I'm slipping!) until install is complete and the SATA drivers are also installed.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
