resize your display to fit the screen. How depends on model.

Have you made any settings to your Display options that could have affected the resolution? If so, you can try running the System Restore feature and this will probably get rid of it.

If System Restore doesn't work, you might want to look in to updating the drivers on your system. I suppose it's possible that a driver conflict could be messing with the display.

You don't do a system restore just to get back video settings. You go into display properties and settings to fix that. Doing a system restore like this can result in consequences you didn't think about [like undoing important updates]

On my dell its as simply as right clicking on desktop-->Graphic options-->Panel fit-->monitor--> Full screen( No Border)

I had this problem myself. I solved it by going to Dell driver support and obtaining the correct display driver for my operating system.

So, you can check if this too is the solution for you by going to the website of the maker of your computer and going to their drivers download section. It should be free of charge. You'll need to specify your operating system (windows xp, 2000, 98, etc), the model computer you have and the type of driver, in this case the display driver.

Best Wishes.
