Batch file to add footer to multiple word doc

March 31, 2011 at 18:44:18
Specs: Windows XP
I have close to 300 word files in a folder and its sub-folders. I need to add the file path to the footer of each one. I've created a macro to do the work, but I don't want to have to open each file and run the macro individually. I've been trying to teach myself how to write a batch file that will run through the folder and sub-folders, opening each file, running the macro (which includes saving the file), closing the file, and moving on to the next file, but I have been unsuccessful. If anyone could help me with the correct information, it would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need any more information.

Thank you,

Actually, it should be posted to the Office forum. Because a majority of the regulars in Programming don't have MS Office, whereas Office forum regulars do.
