Avast Free antivirus

Specs: Windows XP, 2 gig
I was scanning my computer for viruses because I'm afraid I got a virus in my computer system but when the scanning was finished it says that not all files were scanned.

What does this mean?

Geez, I think I will need a remote computer fix.

That's normal. What makes you think you have a virus. What are the symptoms?

Happens when .zip or .rar files have archives that have a password assigned to them. A password must be entered to access such files. Password accessed files can't be scanned and that is why you get "not all files were scanned" message.
