Auto logon problem

Hi. When I have "Auto Logon" enabled to logon my user, it says that my logon username or password may be incorrect and it will not auto logon. I have checked several times and my username is correct and I don't use a password. The funny thing is, the auto logon seems to work the first time when I enable it, but then after that I get this message. Any ideas? Thanks.

I had the same problem this morning. I realized my caps were locked. I unlocked them and was able to use auto log. I just downloaded and installed "Caps Lock Changer v1.0". Now, my "Caps Lock" button is disabled (unless i enable it)! Halalulia!

Hi. I'm not sure what the caps lock has to do with this problem. You shouldn't have to type anything in with auto login. Thanks.

goodwrench27,

Try to setup XP autologon by Logonexpert tool, it may validate your credentials and tells if something wrong.

A more reliable way to work with the Autologon, rather than using a third-party program is to download the utility/tool Tweak UI for Windows XP from Microsoft. You can find it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/... While not officially supported, it gives the power user the ability to easily change advanced settings without working in the Registry.
