hi ive been having problems with sound lately. right after my computer got reconfigured with system restore disks my sound will not work at all. people have told me to try installing drivers and so on and so forth. i have the drivers installed and still nothing....

but what i DID notice is that when i go to "sounds and audio devices properties" and click on "hardware" and i can go to every driver and view the properties of them.

ONE driver is empty

all my other drivers have little things in the properties, for example :
hardware>media control devices>properties>properties is where i am. there are about 6 little driver options such as "(MCI) CD Audio"

but... in my "legacy audio drivers" there are no such driver options... how do i fix this?

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

"DeviceDesc"="Legacy Audio Drivers"
"Mfg"="(Standard system devices)"

... the above is an exported "reg" from my system click > pic might help(?)

... not impressed with "ms paint"
