Arrange files in order of most recent date

March 15, 2011 at 23:55:54
Specs: Windows XP
my files are all over the place as far as the date of the file is concerned. They range from 2003 to current, but are random and I can find "added" files that I need. I only see one page of files and I know there are more than that and I know that many of these are recent. How do I re-order them by current date first?

What sort of files do you mean?

Text files?
Music files?
Movie files?
Etc, etc, etc.
