Annoying 'Flashing' when click My Photos

December 14, 2013 at 05:57:38
Specs: Windows 64
PC/XP, Dell
Recently, there is annoying 'flashing' that occurs mostly when opening, ... My Document< My Picture.
For example, I clicking some of photos in order to e-mail to my friend, there is annoying 'flashing' on those photoes. The flashing also occurs on, 'Document and Setting' < My Picture at the top of the screen.

Just wonder why there is 'flashing' occurs in the first place? Other than that, the PC/XP works OK, but my concern is whether the Hard Drive has the problem? If that's the case, should I do to correct 'Flashing' on the hard drive?

Thanks for your help in advance. most of photos

Well since the hard disk still loads you could install seatools for windows and test the hard drive. I would be tempted to run a malware removal program like malwarebytes to see if you have any issues. Run the long generic test, it will also run the short diagnostic anyways.

The download top right:

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

Just to add, when first running MalwareBytes it is best to start with the Quick Test. This is because some viruses can detect that a search is being made so the quick test might catch them before they go into hiding. It doesn't take long and you can always run the full test afterwards.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Does the flashing also occur if you use a different utility to view them--maybe IE instead of windows viewer?
