an unhandled win32 exception occurred in svch

I have installed windows xp pro sp3. I am getting this error an unhandled win32 exception occurred in svchost.exe After this error internet stops working and windows status bar [start button, icons in right bottom etc] goes black and white (seems the graphics refresh) for some seconds (20-30 secs). Please help me how can i fix windows?? thanks
