vedacool, "after i just get rid a virus from my laptop", possible it was a trojan or worm instead? Be aware that a virus and a Trojan are similar, but not the same. Many times, an AV detects one it can't clean, other times, it gets missed entirely.
If you need to clean one, Superantispyware can do the job and you can get it free @:
among other places. They have a Vista compatible version if needed.
If it turns out that you need to use it, be sure to update prior to running and disable 'restore' (restart after cleaning) so it doesn't get put back. They just released a new update recently and it changes all the time. Things are in a constant state of flux.
The restore thing is critical. May not be your deal at all, but won't hurt anything to try.

vedacool, Go to the link below and scroll down to line 12 (left column) and click on "EXE (lnk and regfile) Fix for Windows XP" to download a reg file fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it or right click it and choose "merge" and answer yes to the import prompt.

If you can't run the file do the following:

Press CTRL-ALT-DEL and open Task Manager. Once there, click File, then hold down the CTRL key and click New Task (Run). This will open a Command Prompt window. Enter REGEDIT.exe and press Enter. Once regedit is open click File>Import and locate that reg file fix, hilite it and click Open.

Note: If you can't access the Internet with the problem computer use another computer to download the reg file fix onto a CD, thumb drive, or floppy and transfer the file to the problem computer.

emm thanks to Ed in Texas and Tufenuf.. for the Superantispyware software, emm i already use it and my laptop now clean for any trojan and virus... yes i know the diffrent between them... emm before my laptop is infected by a script virus that using "microsoft script" may be as i remember... emm then i manually delete the script... but the effect from the attack is... run and search in start manu missing, task manager open with wordpad, regedit also open with wordpad. and then i already solve the run and search in start menu and the task manager problem. the only problen left is the exe and the regedit. when i write it in run, then open it, the word pad open... here i wrote down the word in wordpad when i try open regedit...

"MZ ÿÿ ¸ @ à º ´ Í!¸LÍ!This program cannot be run in DOS mode.

$ ¢î¿CÀìCÀìCÀì€ÌìAÀìCÁì€ì€ÌÝì^Àì€ÌÞìBÀì€ÌßìaÀì€ÌàìOÀì€ÌÚìBÀìRichCÀì PE L |A à

so this is some that shows in the wordpad when i open regedit....

find one of the exe files. Right click it and select 'Open with'
When the window pops up..deselect the box next to 'Always use this selected program to open this kind of file'..then click ok
Just a thought,..and won't hurt anything

vedacool, still sounds to me like a nasty. Did you disable restore prior to the scan? If not, I bet it got put back.
