Solved Add workgroup to Windows XP SP3 start menu

Specs: Windows xp
i would like to add workgroup to my xp sp3 start menu if possible. save me going network places then click view workgroup computers. also is there anyway i can save login details

Here is a start.

Select the workgroup in Network Places. Right click and select "Create
Shortcut." A screen will appear saying it can't do that but it will also offer
to place a shortcut on the desktop.

You can also map network shares as persistent or as above drag and drop the icon of the place to your desktop..

Hang up and live.

i have created shortcut just need help with how i can have this showing on the right hand side in start menu if possible.

Instead of creating a shortcut icon, you could create a batch file with the netuse statement in it and point it to the shared folder. With netuse, you can also have it put in the username and password automaticly so you don't have to type in in.
