Do you mean that the computer does not boot up (turns on but then crashes), or that the computer itself will NOT turn on?

No, th laptop doesn't crash. It's just that sometimes it boots up and sometimes it doesn't. sometimes I have to press the on button consecutive times for a half hour or more for it to come on. sometimes it won't come on for days at a time.

the battery has little power so i power up using the adapter which is in good condtion.

seems that the power button isn't making a good connection.

You may need to look around online to find out how to access the motherboards in these laptops, and try checking the power button connection. Also does pressing somewhat hard on the power button cause a POP? If so, then the power button is loose from the actual micro-button under it, which is causing the computer not to turn on.

No, pressing the power button hard doesn't cause a pop. But obviously there's a problem with the power button making a connection which why I mentioned it in my last post.

I've read other people's posts with similar problems of not being able to get their laptop on, and whom have taken the back off their computers to check for problems.

I'm electronically inclined and don't have a problem with taking the back off the computer to see if the power connection line is loose, but I don't have a screw driver small enough for the screws.

thanks for your response.

Well you might have to get a screw driver that size, because if you can't boot it up then we can't fix it.
