✔ Best Answer
This is not a problem.
Everest will always show that as a warning because DMI data, by it's very nature, cannot be 100% reliable. It does not mean there is anything wrong with your computer.

One reason why your computer is slow is because you have only 256 MB RAM. With modern software that simply is no enough. There could be other issues as well.

I agree with the above answer. I would further suggest you try a different utility called SIW. While it may yield the same message it is more comprehensive than Everest. Get the free edition at the link below.

Before two months this computer worked perfect with 256 MB RAM. :(
I test with memtest in Ubuntu Live CD.
The 40GB HDD IS low level formatted, re-partionated...:(
The problem is not solved.

Thanks for reply.

You may need to install the motherboard chip set drivers. Your hard drive may not be running in a DMA mode. Check the settings in Device Manager.

256MB of RAM is not enough for WinXP.

Why did you perform a low level format? If anything about the hard drive is not up to snuff the drive will not run in a DMA mode. This will make the transfer rate very slow.
