Specs: Windows XP
Hello there!

i was trying to bypass the login screen on my pc, so i went to *run*
* control userpasswords2*
and i deleted my main user login.... yeah pretty dumb huh?

well that didnt work so well, at first i could even get past the login screen since the there was no user to select!!!

so i went into safe mode and created a new user to login as.

I got past the login screen, and now i cant access any of my old pcitures, or music etc!

I tried System restore, but for sum freakin reason it wont allow me to click next to activate the system restore point.

So thats my problem, i just want my old user back. any help would be awesome!!!

Not sure you can.

MS made it difficult to re-create a user exactly.

You can take ownership of files or copy them but I think it unlikely you'd be able to re-create a user.

old trick

create a new user
copy the old profile contents which still exist under Documents and Settings to this new user folder which is also under documents and settings.

Logon as the new user.
