Accidentally deleted user profiles in xp

Specs: Windows XP
I am running Xp with SP3. I accidently deleted the user profile, which deleted my documents content. Pl. help to recover.

Use a format recovery utility, so you can get back those files. If some can give you example of software, the use some of that. There's a utility that is a drive with a yellow worker helmet, I used it and it worked for my HDD and my USB drive.

Accidentally means When I referred the net for a solution for slow boot up and slow windows startup, one of the recommendation given was to check for the user profile and if the size is more delete it and create a new one which i followed but could not remember whether I was warned of deletion of all data from My documents folder.

I was mis-guided to delete the user profile if size is large when i searched the net for solution to slow bootup and window startup.
