how can I get rid of this blue rectangle that is right in the middle of my computer screen. I just added a screen saver this morning and got a new wallpaper yesterday. I was having a problem with the resolution on the wallpaper but I got it worked out.

✔ Best Answer
The message is your monitor complaining that you have your resolution at an incompatible setting.

What kind of monitor is it? If it is a LCD type then they have a native resolution that is best. What resolution did you set to make your desktop/screensaver work?

Perhaps you should have edited the image to the correct size before trying to use it as your wallpaper.

Richard, that could very well be the answer, that's when it all started. I tried some things to change the settings but nothing happened. The monitor is GEM. I tried changing the wallpaper to another one that was already on the computer but that didn't help. I did find a larger image of the wallpaper and tried that but there was no change. I lowered my resolution to 600 x 800? but it always goes back to the one that is preset. Maybe I'm not doing these things right. The image was too small and I stretched it for my wallpaper. I deleted the download and that did the trick. It was resolution. Thank you
