Did you have a camera or video device connected to the PC at one time?

That's the only thing I saw when I searched for that error message. Maybe someone else has another idea or try to search google for that error again.

The solution would be to uninstall the software for whatever device you had connected to the PC but you said that there was none. You have to determine what is sending the error message. Run msconfig & look at the startup tab. Also, the event viewer or device manager may have some clues.

my best guess its a printer scanner driver that is orphanned. finding it is very hard.
as it does not show up in the running processes (procexp) or event viewer.
I have just about decided to live with it as it is my backup computer running xp.
Im probably gonna trash it soon anyway when i get a new main computer. Thanks anyway.

Hi jetmech,

I am Makarand P from the Dell Social Media and Communities team,

With regards to your question, it appears as though you have a capture movie or some other sort of software which is associated with this file or a registry entry. Hence the error at start up. You could either disable such software from msconfig or uninstall it completely.

Kindly revert for further clarifications,

Thanks and regards,

I have uninstalled everything i can uninstall and used msconfig to to only start programs that i know i need like 4 items.
i can not uninstall programs that do not show up in control panel.
I have even went through the bootlog and found nothing out of the ordinary.
really just a nuisance. I was looking at a fix more of an intellectual exercise in me vs the computer! since this operating system has been cloned three times on three computers and three different hard drives and has NEVER been reinstalled I think so far i am doing good! Never been reinstalled. I have always been able to fix the problem WITHOUT using system restore (disabled it ) OR reinstalling windows not once EVER!

Let me explain what I see. First of all, it looks like Windows was reinstalled a second time without a format or without creating a new partition. Hence the windows.000 directory. That may or may not be part of your problem. Secondly, you are are using Norton. I'm not a fan of Symantec products but it's up to you , if you want to keep it or not. The following entry also could be part of the problem.

O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-21-329068152-1123561945-725345543-1007\..\Run: [Symantec NetDriver Warning] C:\PROGRA~1\SYMNET~1\SNDWarn.exe (User 'UpdatusUser')
________________________

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS.000\system32\userinit.exe,qhmqrax.exe,

That ^^ has to be deleted no matter what you do.
_______________________

O20 - Winlogon Notify: AeDebug - C:\WINDOWS.000\system32\KtdakOneTouch.dll (file missing)

Delete that ^^ too. I can't find anything about it.

______________________

O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-21-329068152-1123561945-725345543-1007\..\Run: [Symantec NetDriver Warning] C:\PROGRA~1\SYMNET~1\SNDWarn.exe (User 'UpdatusUser')

That ^^ could be part of what's giving you that error message. As I said, it's up to you if you want to continue with Symantec products.
____________________

O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-21-329068152-1123561945-725345543-1007\..\RunOnce: [RunNarrator] Narrator.exe (User 'UpdatusUser')

I get suspicious of anything in the Run Once folder. I would delete that too.

Also, I'm not a fan of toolbars. Once again, it's up to you if you want to keep them or not but they are not secure.

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.
