0x008b06b7 error message

Specs: Windows XP
the instruction at "0x008b06b7" referenced memory at "0x008b06b7" "the memory could not be written" spoolsv.exe application error. when i boot up my pc, this message box appears at the log on screen and then my pc freezes. I can't close the message box because my cordless mouse and keyboard will not respond. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? my operating system is xp media edition sp3. thank you.
