Specs: Windows 7
Hi, basicially my Vista is working.
Yeasterday i turned it on, it was working fine, i left it alone for a few minutes but when i came back it had frozen (the mouse won't move and keyboard didn't respond) so i had to turn it off at the power button.
When i turned it back on, the monitor went straight to power off mode and the keyboard didn't light up. (the computer usually beeps too and a small red light flickers on the power button but doesn't now!)

Can someone help?!

Do you see the POST? power on self test?

Have you tried F8 or F12 to get to a boot menu?

There is a good chance that you need a power supply.

Tell us the make and model of your brand name system, or if you have a generic desktop system, the make and model of the mboard.

The model, sometimes the make, of a mboard in a generic desktop system is usually printed on the mboard's surface in obvious larger characters, often between the slots.

The specific model of a brand name system is often shown on a label on the outside of the case somewhere, or it can often be determined by going to the brand name's web site and loading a program they have available, if Windows is still working, on the subject computer.

If this is a desktop computer....

Failing or dead power supplies are common.

If you can borrow a power supply from another working computer, try connecting that.
