Specs: Windows Vista Home Premium, 2 gb
i have a pc which came preinstalled with windows vista home premium. i then bought another used computer which had xp but the password was not supplied with it, i had to use the 3 system restore cd's on the 2nd used computer and it worked fine for 2 months then 2 weeks ago it came up with a message saying "activate now" or "activate later". does anyone know this should happen for no apparent reason and someone said this message on start-up lasts for 30 days then i would have to buy a genuine vista cd - is that true? thanks and look forward for your replies

Activation failures sometimes happen. If you are using a genuine copy of Windows you should contact Microsoft.
