will i lose my contact list doing a destructive recovery on

Specs: Vista, 320 GB
Due to virus on my hp notebook running vista home premium i need to do a destructive recovery. My question is will i lose all my contacts on AOL and Yahoo when i do the recovery? I have nothing else of importance on the computer so i wasnt planning on backing anything up. Im not even sure how to do the destructive recovery but i will look that up..any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you

The destructive recovery will erase everything and return your computer to out of the box condition. If you email was web based...meaning you go online to view your email, then you would not lose anything as the stuff is all on the companies mail server. If you use a mail client such as Outlook or similar that downloads the mail to your mail program...you'd lose it all. If you are using a mail client you can export contacts and mail, and then import them once you fixed your computer.
