Specs: Windows Vista
I have a 23 in. LCD HP monitor. Recently, something has happened and I only get a 17 in. screen with white on both sides. How can I fill this monitor screen like it used to be? Thank you.

Try adjusting the screen resolution. Right-click the Desktop, click Personalize, and a link to the screen resolution should be there.

I do not have Personalize on my desktop. However, I have tried to change the resolution in the control panel, and that does not solve the problem either.

Did you set the resolution to the highest possible? Are the cables between the monitor and computer tight?

Have you tried hooking up the monitor to a different computer? Does it work on a different computer?

I do not have another computer, but thank you so much for all of your suggestions.

You're welcome. Do you have any friends or relatives that have a computer you can use? If the monitor works properly on someone else's computer, then we can know the problem is the computer and not the monitor.

You need to prove somehow whether it is the monitor itself or not - see #7.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
