Specs: Windows Vista
I can receive e-mails, but I cannot send them. They only go to the outbox and I cannot send them from there either.

What email app/service are you using?

Don't post actual account details here, just which service you use. e.g. hotmail,, g-mail land so on.

Please don't double post.

We need to know details about your email. As trvlr asked, we need to know which email you're using & also whether you're using an email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc) or web based mail such as Aol.com, Yahoo.com, etc. Do NOT post your email address.

It doesn't help that you're still running Windows Vista. Hopefully you're not still using Internet Explorer.

"I use charter.net"

What is that? A web based email service? I did a search & all I could come up with is Spectrum.

Are you sure that your Outgoing server configuration is correct? What happened between the time it worked, and when it stopped working?

Did you do any updates? Make any changes to your email configuration?

Doing the best I can here... And remember, there's always more than one path to success. :)
