My laptop says connected to intranet not Internet? Seems like this is I big issue but what's the definite answer.
Please please help me. Thanks in advance and I wish you all the luck in the world. I need my laptop online (well on the Internet) so bad.
1) Tools -> Internet Options
2) Connections tab
3) LAN Settings
4) Uncheck "Automatically Detect Settings"
I'm on automatically detect but do not have the given symptoms. If you are still in trouble try this:
Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt.
EDIT:
Probably obvious but hit Enter key after each command. It's possible that the first one will do the trick.Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog
Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log
Commands must be "exactly" as given.
Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
