It is the security key that was used to set up your internet (probably done from the computer). It is personal so we have no clue what it would be. Either it was whatever you put in, or someone else did if your internet was installed by others.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

If your computer is connected to the internet via a wired network connection (a network cable) or a wireless network connection, to a wireless router, or a combo wireless router / high speed modem, the WPA key you need to know is shown in the router's Security settings in it's wireless configuration settings.

The default URL - 192.168.xxx.xxx - you use to access the router in your internet browser on your computer, and the default User name and Password you use to access the router's configuration settings, are shown in the router model's manual.

In order to connect to the wireless router, you must either
- connect a network cable between your computer's wired network adapter and a network port on the wireless router
- or - you must already have a wireless network connection that is working between your computer's wireless network adapter and the wireless router.

If you have a combo wireless router / high speed modem that was provided by your internet provider, the default URL, and/or User name, and/or Password may be different than for a generic model - look on the internet provider's web site for those for your model in that case. .

( If you're in Canada and are using Telus as your internet provider, if you're using the combo wireless router / high speed modem that is provided with the Optik internet package, the default URL, User name, Password, and unique Wireless network key are printed on the label on the outside (bottom) of the Actiontec V1000H model. )
