Website images don't always load on browser

Hewlett-packard / Hp pavilion dv4 notebook...

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, 2.401 GHz / 3068 MB

Basically I have a problem viewing images on
websites. It usually happens when there is
quite a lot of images on one website, and
typically on blogs, not newspapers online or
more professional sites. However, I have
checked and know I am the only person having
this problem viewing the images.

It's not that I get red crosses, but not the
whole picture loads. The pictures start loading
from the top and then stop. Sometimes I only
get the top 10% of the picture, sometimes
50% and sometimes only the bottom bar is
missing, but especially on blogs, I can usually
not see the whole picture.
I've tried leaving a page open for several hours,
to see if it was just a very slow connection, but
the pictures NEVER load, and if I refresh the
page, the same pictures load by the same

It's driving me crazy! Does anyone have any

Try IE Reset Fixit Tool from here:

The IE Fixit solution above should sort it, assuming you are actually using IE as your browser?

Have you tried a different browser like Firefox or Safari?

I've had problems in the past with images half loading but it was never consistently the same images and it was down to my connection breaking constantly mid page-load.

"The IE Fixit solution above should sort it, assuming you are actually using IE as your browser?"

Even if you use another browser IE Reset will still help
This is because IE is built into Windows itself

Also never run Registry tools
The ONLY safe one I have found is CCleaner Registry Scan for issues
And its free

thanks for your replies.

I should have mentioned that I'm using Chrome. But I've
checked the same websites in both Chrome and IE and have
the same problems in both.

I've just tried using both Reset Fixit Tool and CCleaner, and
have restarted my computer, but neither have worked.

Sorry, Any other ideas?

Start button > search > CMD > (right click and run as Administrator)

On the command line enter each of the following one at a time:

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
netsh interface ip delete arpcache

Exit out of the CMD Window, and restart
Test again

The last thing left is a slow connection, from your provider
As you stated that pictures partly load at times

You may also have Malware installed
Consider running a full updated Antivirus scan
And also download; Update; and Run a Quick scan with Free Malwarebytes:
