Vista restore issue

Specs: Windows Vista
About 2 months ago I had to perform a system restore on my Emachine EL1300g-01w. When I went to perform the restore the previous restore points were not available. The system performed the restore and now my hard drive is full, and I can not access any of my previous files. Please advise.

One some systems the original hard drive files were saved in the process. See owners manual for where they are or search for them. It would be a huge folder in C drive but I don't know the name.

Yes, restore does do that. You have to get it all back one thing at a time in some cases by that folder's data. Then when you are happy with new system you can delete that folder.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
