Specs: Windows Vista
a while back, i bought windows home premium from my college and i put it on my old laptop but i cant remember if i put the product key on it or not. now my problem is i cant find the install disk but i have this box with the product key and i want to upgrade my new laptop that has home basic on it. how do i go about getting a new cd or a way to install premium without having to buy a cd. or if i could just find a way to verify my product key so i dont go through all the hassle for nothing.

i really dont care about the upgrade, i just want media center.

To find your current key, download (don't laugh) the magic jelly bean key finder.

You can always format the partition but you have to turn off the caps lock first.
