Vista and Exchange ping problem

Specs: Vista Home Premium, 1.83Ghz\3Gb
i posted my problem at august 2008,and i still have it,i.e. i have windows vista home, i can not ping my exchange to read my emails,so i downgrade to windows XP then i fixed the problem using XP.today i found a post for my problem saying the solution is by disabling the PIX proxy by command "SYSOPT NOPROXYARP", can anyone help me in detail how can i use this command,cuz i use it at cmd but did not work,and should i disable this at vista client or at exchange server? please i need help.

That command is used in conjunction with the Cisco PIX firewall. Are you using Cisco? If you are go to:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products...

If you're not using Cisco, it doesn't apply to you.

I am using my laptop on a big network,there are many switchs,but my question,how can i use the command "SYSOPT NOPROXYARP",and where i must run it,on my laptop or on exchange server????

Are you the administrator of the network? It seems to be part of the Cisco PIX Firewall configuration which you might not have permission to change.

The site I posted in my first response has some of the details. I never used PIX so I don't have first hand experience. It seems to me that you have to login to the Cisco box to make the changes. You need a password for that.
