Microsoft Windows vista home premium - 3...

Specs: Windows Vista, Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 @ 2.33GHz
My vista lags very often, and I'm not sure what the cause is. I think it has something to do with this 'Intel accelerated graphics drive" that's installed on it. We got it at a refurbished computer place.

I'm 100% sure all the drivers and such are updated.

Thanks for any help.

PS: Forgot to mention it has 1 gig ram.

Lets start by running TFC.
http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/TFC.exe
http://www.itxassociates.com/OT-Too...
Please double-click TFC.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista/Windows 7, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).
It will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.
Click the Start button to begin the process. Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two. Let it run uninterrupted to completion.
Once it's finished it should reboot your machine. If it does not, please manually reboot the machine yourself to ensure a complete clean.

You have a good diagnostic on it already. Performance monitor can create advanced logs of almost any part.

"PS: Forgot to mention it has 1 gig ram."

Do you mean your video card/chipset has 1GB of RAM or the motherboard itself has 1GB? If it's the motherboard that only has 1GB, then that's barely inside Microsoft specs (which are almost always set too low):

There were a lot of Vista computer sold with 1G and OEM's were getting sued for it. When the system took video memory it fell below the minimum.
