Toshiba Synaptics touchpad settings

Toshiba Satellite a215s4697 notebook

Specs: Windows Vista home premium sp2
My tapping feature goes off when I don't want it to, and I can't shut it off because updating my synaptics pointing device driver caused me to lose settings for this feature.

You can try rolling back the driver to the previous, working, version.

Hi. I appreciate your efforts but I can't roll back because the roll back button is dimmed out. I tried installing two different versions of Synaptics [v10.0.9.0&v10.0.1.0]. I finally solved the problem by reinstalling the original alps touch pad driver from Toshiba support. The Synaptics version for windows 7, has the check box to disable the tapping feature but I don't know if it will work on my system. Thanks, clarckd2.
