System Restore troubles/Trojan/Unable to Run Files correctly

Specs: Windows Vista, 4gigs
Sorry if this is tagged incorrectly. Um, about 5 days ago, a Trojan installed itself on my computer. It goes by the name of "2012 Vista internet security" or something like that. It sort of messed up all my files, and wouldn't let me system restore. I was like "okay, I have another profile", so I deleted the current one and went back to my first one. Everything was working fine until a few days when the Trojan came back. I Google'd a bunch of fixes, and most of them were install "this and that, virus removal". In the end, I just went to processes and deleted the three letter name it was named as. Somehow, someway it messed up something, and it wouldn't let me run exes correctly. The error "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." came up with everyone (including firefox), so in the end, I just had to run it as admin. I figured, "no-biggie" and I went to church, planning to system restore when I got home. (for some reason, it worked on this profile) I came home to all my Points deleted, so there was no way I could restore. Is there a way I can get old points back, or fix that error? The trojan is of no importance now, as it hasn't come back up, but can I get a clearance on that too? Just incase.

I can't answer the CPU/ Product area either, because I can't access properties.
