Stereo & Car cd players can't read mixed cds

December 5, 2010 at 06:42:21
Specs: Windows Vista
I tried to make a mixed cd using a cd-r disc on my laptop. I downloaded songs from different cds and used mp3 songs that I purchased on rhapsody and itunes and burned them on a blank cd-r disc with windows media player. It will play on my computer but will not play on either of my cd players (my stereo or my car). What am I doing wrong?

are all the songs in the same format? Mp3's have to be converted to wav files.
Make sure they are all wav files. They cannot be both or different. You can't mix & match.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

All you need to do is select the files you want, then in WMP choose the burn Audio CD option, this automaticly converts mp3 and wma files into the correct format to use on all cd players.

Thanks so much for your help. Sounds like something I can handle. Maybe I'm not so computer illiterate as I thought.
