some sites not loading AT ALL-no error mess

hi there
I think I changed something on my pc
recently and some sites now don't load- they
don't even show an error message. just as if
when I press the mouse it was as if I hadn't.
I SUSPECT,though am not sure obviously, it
might be that I purchased and installed
registry booster, speedup my pc, and spy
sweeper. Now my pc is glitter clean and the
site won't load cos I've got rid of a setting
,cookie, or something of that ilk. I've tried
looking in 'under the bonnet' to no avail. I have
kaspersky 2010 so possibly a firewall problem
(the majority of sites are adult in topic but not
all-and I don't have a parental lock on)
Can anyone suggest first step to try please?

"the majority of sites are adult in topic but not all"

Here is your problem. Most Adult Web sites are riddled with viruses and the spy sweeper will prevent them from loading. Just uninstall it but then you are open to viruses.

My suggestion is to setup a virtual machine for surfing porn. This way you can disable the anti-viruses and still be safe because they will only infect your virtual machine.
