1: Do you have the XP CD?

2: Lets run chkdsk & see what happens.

How to Use Chkdsk in Windows XP

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chkdsk

Obtaining CHKDSK Results ( log file )

How to get to Event Viewer.
In Windows XP there are four ways to get to event viewer.
Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.
Right click > My Computer > Manage > Event Viewer.
Start > Run > Eventvwr.
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt, paste > Eventvwr & hit Enter.
Obtaining CHKDSK Results
Once Event Viewer is open, select Application.
The 4th column of information in the right-hand pane is titled Source, click on the word Source at the top of the column to sort by that column.
Scroll through the Source column to find the most recent entry titled Winlogon.
Double-click Winlogon to open the CHKDSK results.
Or,
Go to Start > Run and copy/paste >
cmd /c chkdsk c: |find /v "percent" >> "%userprofile%\desktop\checkhd.txt"
Press OK. A command window will open, and a check of your disk will run. When that finishes, it will create a checkhd.txt log on your desktop. The check disk will take a while to run, so please be patient.

Another way is to use the HP diagnostic tool. Post any logs produced.
HP Insight Diagnostics Offline Edition

Or, use the troubleshooting guide.

"never follow my specs . If I post in vista then it means windows Vista. I have 10 pcs"

Ok, for the future. It is very common for people to post in the wrong forum.

The only specs we are interested in, are those that match the forum, or in other words, the comp you want fixed.

"sfc /scannow problem errors detected that windows can not fix , please help. How to fix ?"

Copy the CBS.log file created (C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log) & Paste to your desktop (you can't manipulate it directly) and then Copy & Paste the contents into your next reply.

"never follow my specs"
We cannot be expected to remember the way each particular poster behaves.

If you don't want to change your specs when you are talking about another computer, then you should give us the appropriate information for the other computer within the text of your first post.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Your log appears to be clean.

How to analyze the log file entries that the Microsoft Windows Resource Checker (SFC.exe) program generates in Windows Vista
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228

Run SFC again, make sure you run it with Administrator privileges.
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.

1. Open a command prompt with administrator privileges.
2. Copy and Paste > sfc /scannow & hit > Enter.

If you haven't run chkdsk, do so after running SFC.

ok , this time I will check why its saying 2008, its strange because 1 week ago was the first time that the sfc /scannow command was used on this computer.
In the ,meantime I will try your suggestion in your second post(downloading a hp diagnostic tool) . Because this Hp pc has no diagnostic tool , all its its got is a pc health check . I find that the companies program checks -only check the drivers , not windows integrity.

That's better, can now see the problem file, which may or may not be a problem.
