Security Alert Pop Ups

Microsoft Windows vista home premium 64-...

Specs: Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit
Whenever I change sites, I get a security alert pop up warning that I am either about to view pages over a secure connection or changing from a secure to not secure. I have checked the box to indicate "In the future, do not show this warning", but it doesn't ever work. I have tried going into Internet Options/Advanced tab and unchecking the "Warn if Changing between Secure and no secure mode" and it doesn't work (always goes back to being checked). I have tried changing the security levels on internet options and that doesn't work--they always reset back to the same way. How can I change this and get rid of the security pop ups without disabling the user account control?

I presume you mean IE8
If so:
1.Open the browser and click on Tools/Internet Options/Security
2.Select the ‘Security’ tab
3.Click the ‘Custom Level’ button
4.In the ‘Miscellaneous’ section change “Display mixed content” to Enable

Is that what you were looking for?

thanks for the reply....have tried doing that many times...always goes back to the way it was...it may have something to do with Trend Micro Pro...I had been having this problem all of a sudden for only a couple weeks...I installed TMP a couple months ago. This morning, it isn't happening....so something I did either fixed the problem or possibly opened up my computer to more problems...we shall see.
