Router username and password reverts to default

September 11, 2014 at 20:05:36
Specs: Vista Ultimate, SP2, 3.0Ghz/2Ghz
I was logging in to my router tonight and it wouldn't take my username and password. I have a unique username and password which I have always used. After looking some things up on the internet about this issue, I tried the default username and password. It logged me in but the interface is completely different and looks like it's for my ISP's modem, not the router. My ISP is Verizon. What happened? Has my router been hacked? I have security software on the PC. Did my ISP reset my router without my knowledge? My router is a Trendnet TEW-639BR. The ip address I'm entering is 192.168.1.1. Thanks.

I solved the problem. I was entering the wrong ip address for the router. It is 192.168.10.1. I don't go in there very often; must have forgot. Anyway, I have another question. What do the addresses 192.168.0.0 and 192.168.1.1 have in common? Is it that they are on the same network? Thanks.

I did those Google searches already. Anyway, I say what they have in common is that they are both Class C addresses. Is this correct? Is there something else they have in common that I'm missing? Thanks.
