remove all partitions from a drive with NO op

Specs: Windows XP
I mistakingly "ghosted" my fiances "files" instead of my VISTA ghost, which always work untill i did this, i have no way to ghost back...how can I clear all on the disk so i can install my original OS?

Where does the system boot off? You can't format the boot partition.

I bought a 2.5" enclosure to connect to USB 2.0...it worked. It saw it as a file and I formatted from there!!! Thank you for all your help!
