|On my Vista c:\ drive in the Downloads folderthere is the install.wim file. Seems like an odd directory for it.|
After looking it up it turns out to be some type of image file. It opens to show pretty much a total directory of a naked operating system without any user data, and is a couple of gigabytes large.
From tech forums it is used as part of image building with WAIK -- I am wondering if I could make an ISO file out of it and set it up as a virtual OS or something useful since it sits there taking up all that space. Would appreciate feedback.
