Problem with XBOX 360 Live NAT Settings

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, 2.13 GHz / 4 Gig
For some reason my friend and i cant join
each other parties or games. Both of us can
join other people games fine. We both have
moderate NAts. I have read that 2 moderate
NATs would be able to join with each other but
we are not able to. I have tried opening ports
to get open NAT but nothing seems to work. I
have a netgear router, is that the problem?
Any help would be appreciated..

Didnt know where to post this...

Forgot about this. We are on diferent routers/isp. We live in different states. Hopefully you relook at this thread. Its getting
really annoying not to be able to join each others games. Wont
let us play any games unless someone else other then us is the
host.

which ports do you have forwarded?

Microsoft says you need more, but mine works fine with just these:
UDP/88
UDP/3074
TCP/3074

The others aren't needed, see this article:

what happens when you guys try to join each others game?
what is the exact error message you guys are getting?
have you guys try pinging each other's ip addresses?

Well i have 53, 80, 87-89, and 3073-3075 forwarded. When we
try to join each others Xbox Live party it says "could not
connect to party"....and for modern warfare 2 it says "unable to
join game session"... and it wont let us join in any other
games either

Really annoying...still cant play with him unless he joins a game
and then i join after it starts. Have tried over and over to get my
NAT open but it just stays moderate.
