Print spooler not working

April 20, 2016 at 13:44:40
Specs: Windows Vista
How do I get get the print spooler to start working so I can print
stuff off my computer? My printer was working fine until yesterday. I had a guy here to try to
fix it and he checked everything including the USB cord on the printer. No luck. Then I called
the Canon Co and had a teck check things out and he told me the print spooler is not
starting. Can you please help?

Go to Start > My Computer > C drive > Windows folder > System32 folder > Spool folder > Printers folder. Then delete the contents of the Printers folder.
Close that, then go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Scroll down to "Print Spooler" and open it. Startup type: Automatic, click on "Start", click Apply & then OK.

Hi John W.,
I tried to follow up but didn't succeed. I hit Start, then Computer (there was no my com-
puter.) There was no C Drive. There was a CD something and I tried that. Nothing hap-
pened. Can you tell me how to get to the windows folder and I'll try again?
Hi again.,
I got some help from someone else and now my Printer is working.
Thanx again for you time and attention.
Lois
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, Lois W.

Yep, that's a very good way Lois. We all have needed outside help at some stage.
