Solved No ethertnet adapter attached

Specs: Windows 64
I have internet with suddenlink and I have a wieless gateway. During the storm my computer shut down and when it came back up it said I had no network connection. when I tried to reset it the disk said that I had no adapter. Can someone help me please

You need to install a new network card as the existing network adapter was "fried" by a power spike during the thunderstorm.

Plugging all your PC equipment in to a "surge protected" socket strip might have prevented this happening. Otherwise, unplug the cable from the network card next time a thunderstorm starts.
