My data backup disks arent reading.

Specs: Windows Vista
I recently decided to upgrade to windows 7, prior to doing so I backed up my files from Windows Vista, now that my upgrade is complete I cannot reinstall my back up files...please help..any help

The Vista backup won't work in W7. You chose the wrong option, Windows Easy Transfer would have been the one to use.
If you did a normal upgrade I can't see any need to reinstall the backup, all your programs and data should be intact, unless you formated the drive during instalation.
Or are you trying to recover an older set of data files.
If you didn't format the drive the original Vista instalation is in a folder called Windows.old in case you need to revert to Vista or recover files. To uninstall W7 and revert to Vista go to
That's a lot of messing around unless you have something very important you need from the backup. It's not something I recomend, but is possible if you are desperate.
