my computer keeps rebooting

Specs: vista, amd turion 64x2
I was using my computer and the screen went black. It tried to boot back up and an error message came up. I hit enter and the computer shut down. now when I turn it on I can hear it come on but the screen stays black and it repeatedly keeps rebooting it's self. can anyone help.

Thank you for the reply, but I can not get to any screen. I took the computer apart and blew it out with the air compressor but it wasn't very dirty. I also replaced the cpu because I though it might have been that but still does the same thing. I can take out the hard drive, memory and fan, and it still does the same thing. black screen and continually rebooting. I was thinking that it could have a bad boot memory so I was going to take out the internal battery but couldn't' figure out how to get the computer apart far enough to find the battery.

Restart the computer in Safe Mode. Allow the computer to boot completely and let your Windows operating system is fully charged. Now, if the computer is restarted, even in safe mode, there is a problem with any operating system or hardware. And if the computer does not restart in Safe Mode, the problem is related to certain software.

If there was a way to boot up in safe mode that would be great, but the computer will not boot up at all. no screen nothing. I hit the power button i hear the fan come on and it goes no farther than that. just a continual reboot.
